The Lincoln Park Conservatory’s popular holiday flower show has been canceled – another casualty of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The silver lining is that the hundreds of poinsettias grown specifically for the event — a process that started back in June — are now for sale to the general public, meaning a small piece of the show can still be enjoyed at home.
The sale kicked off Friday and a couple of varieties have already sold out. The remaining selection can be viewed online. Prices range from $10 to $45 for 6-inch to 10-inch pots. The theme for this year’s show was to have been “Champagne Toast!” featuring a color palette of gold and dappled pinks.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Lincoln Park Conservancy. All plants must be picked up in person.
